On ManyVids, you have full control over how you price your content. You can set, change, or remove the price of your vids at any time.
Setting a Price for Your Vid
You can set a price for your vid from the Edit Vid page.
Creators can charge between $1.99 and $999.99 per vid, or choose to make a vid free.
The price you set is the total amount the Member pays for the vid and does not include the MV percentage. To learn more about payout percentages, click here.
Making a Vid Free
Free vids can be a great way to introduce Members to your content, promote your profile, or share something you’re passionate about. You can also use them as teasers or previews for longer paid content.
To make a vid free, select “Make This Vid Free” on the Edit Vid page.
Free vids are available for streaming only and cannot be downloaded.
Can I Change a Vid's Price?
Yes! Your vid's price is not locked in. You can change the price of any vid at any time.
This gives you the flexibility to experiment with different price points and find what works best for your content and audience.
Pricing Tips
When choosing a price, consider how the price looks to potential buyers. For example, $11.99 may appear less expensive than $12.00, even though the difference is only one cent.
You can also consider using different price points across your content and offering a few free vids to help attract new Members and introduce them to your work.
For additional pricing tips, check out MVU – Episode 6: Pricing. This class covers pricing ranges and how free vids can help attract new fans.
Selling a One-Time Vid Package
Want to sell multiple existing vids together as a one-time package, separate from your Vid Bundle subscription?
You can create a package and send the included vids to the purchasing Member through an MV Link.
To create a one-time vid package:
Decide which vids you want to include in the package. The vids must already be uploaded to your ManyVids page.
Choose whether you want to sell the package under your Vids section or as a Store Item.
If selling it as a vid, upload a placeholder vid. This could be a custom preview of the package or one of the vids included in it.
If creating a Store Item, select “Vid Bundle” as the item type. You can also add a preview vid if you'd like.
Give the package a clear title so Members know they are purchasing a package.
In the description, clearly list the vids included in the package.
Let Members know in the description that the included vids will be delivered through an MV Link.
You can send the package directly to the purchasing Member through private message. Once the Member redeems the MV Link, the included vids will be added to their Purchase History and will be available for viewing.
