How to Edit and Manage Your Vids

Edit Vids Page - Title, Description, Details, Launch, Replace, Delete, Security & Download

Once you click <LAUNCH>, you’ll be taken to the Edit Vid page. From here, you can prepare your newly uploaded vid for your audience, manage its settings, schedule its launch, and access additional options after the vid has been published.

Title

Add an eye-catching title to help your vid stand out and make it easier for members to find.

You can include a few relevant keywords that best represent your vid. These keywords can help your vid appear when members use the site's search bar.

Please note: While we encourage creativity, you cannot use forbidden terms in your Title or Description for safety reasons. To learn more, click here.

Description

Add a summary of what members can expect to see in your vid. You can be as detailed or as mysterious as you like!

The search feature also scans words used in your description, so including relevant keywords can help members discover your content.

Please note: Forbidden terms cannot be used in your Description. To learn more, click here.

Details

The Details section displays technical information about the vid based on the file you uploaded.

These technical specifications will be displayed on your vid's page.

Co-performer Confirmation

If your vid features performers other than yourself, you’ll need to confirm this in the Co-performer Confirmation section.

Simply select the appropriate option when prompted.

For more information about co-performer requirements, see Edit Vids Page – Co-performer Declaration.

Please note: If you make changes to an older vid's information, such as its title, description, pricing, or other details, you may be prompted to confirm whether the vid contains any co-performers.

Scheduling Your Vid Launch

You can choose when your vid becomes available on your profile.

From the Edit Vid page, you can:

  • Launch instantly: Your vid will become available immediately after you click <SAVE> at the bottom of the page.

  • Schedule a launch: Choose a specific date and time for your vid to become available.

The launch date and time will use your local time zone.

Replacing a Vid

If you need to replace an existing vid, you can do so from its edit details after it has been launched.

To replace a vid:

  1. Go to Content Manager by navigating to Dashboard > Manage My Store > Content Manager.

  2. Locate the vid you want to replace.

  3. Click <EDIT>.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Vid page.

  5. Click <Replace Vid>.

  6. Select and upload the new version of your vid.

The replacement automatically takes effect once the upload is complete, so you do not need to click <SAVE>.

Important: Replacing a vid permanently overrides the original file, and the original is not retained by ManyVids. If you want to keep a copy of the original, download and back it up before replacing it.

Your existing reviews, comments, hearts, views, and other statistics will remain with the replaced vid.

You may also want to generate a new preview and thumbnail if the existing ones no longer accurately represent the new version.

Replacing a Vid With Co-performers

If the replacement vid features co-performers, you’ll need to send your co-performer documentation to the MV Support team at help@manyvids.com.

Deleting a Vid

If you no longer want a vid or store item displayed on your profile, you can delete it.

To delete content from your profile:

  1. Locate the vid you want to remove.

  2. Click the edit icon on the item.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

  4. Select the option to Delete your content.

  5. Confirm the deletion if prompted.

You can also delete content through the Content Manager.

Making Your Vids Stream Only

Setting a vid to Stream Only means purchasing members can watch the vid through ManyVids, but they cannot download it.

You can enable this option from the Edit Vid page.

To make a vid Stream Only:

  1. Open the vid's Edit Vid page.

  2. Locate the Security Options section.

  3. By default, vids are set to allow downloads.

  4. Change the setting to Stream Only by selecting Yes from the drop-down menu.

  5. Click <SAVE> to apply the change.

Downloading Your Own Vids

You can download your own vids from the Content Manager.

To download a vid:

  1. Go to Dashboard > Manage My Store > Content Manager.

  2. Locate the vid you want to download.

  3. Click the three dots to the right of the vid.

  4. Select <EDIT>.

  5. On the Edit Details page, locate the vid stream on the right side of the page.

  6. Click the blue <Download> button.

  7. Follow the instructions to complete the download.

When downloading your own vid, you can choose between:
