Store Items: Shipping & Delivery

If you sell physical Store Items that require delivery, you can manage shipping costs when creating the item and find the member’s shipping details once a purchase has been made.

Setting Shipping Costs for Store Items

When creating a Store Item, if the item is physical and requires delivery, selecting the appropriate item category will give you the option to add a shipping cost.

You can enable both domestic and international delivery and set separate shipping prices for each.

When setting your shipping price, keep in mind that shipping costs are subject to the 80% payout amount for Store Items. Be sure to factor this into your calculation.

For example, if it costs you $7.99 to ship an item, you should set the shipping price at $9.99 to account for the 80% payout.

When determining your shipping price, consider:

  • The weight and size of the item

  • Packaging materials

  • Postage or stamps

  • The mailing service you plan to use

  • Any additional costs for tracking

Your mailing service will be the best source of information for determining the shipping cost for your specific items.

Finding a Member's Shipping Details

Once a member purchases a physical Store Item, you can find their shipping information through your Recent Sales page.

To view the details:

  1. Click the drop-down menu.

  2. Select My Earnings.

  3. Select Recent Sales.

  4. Filter by Store.

From there, you'll be able to view the member's shipping address and manage the status of the purchase.

Updating the Shipping Status

You can update the status of an order to let the member know where their purchase is in the fulfillment process.

Available statuses include:

  • Being Prepared - The order is being prepared for shipment.

  • Shipped - The package has been sent to the member.

Updating the status to Shipped lets the member know that their package is on its way and they should begin looking out for its delivery.

Tracking Information

Providing a tracking number for a shipped item can offer an additional layer of protection in the event of a purchase dispute or if a member reports that their item was not received.

Tracking information is not mandatory. However, we may request proof of fulfillment if a member contacts us about a missing purchase.

For this reason, we recommend keeping any shipping receipts, tracking numbers, and other fulfillment information until you are confident the order has been successfully delivered.

If tracking comes with an additional cost, remember to factor that expense into your shipping price when creating the Store Item.
